What jobs would be could for someone who suffers from social anxiety?

I suffer from social anxiety and today i went to a job interview. the interview went horrible because i was expected to have communication skills which i lack cause i have social anxiety. Now i realize not many jobs are made for me. I cannot work in a job where i would have daily interaction with people. What kind of job can i get where i dont need to communicate with people dailyor maybe even deal with them at all? for ex: customer service is definitely not for me.

Hi, I have real bad social anxiety too, which has resulted in me having to leave many jobs, I haven’t been working properly for the last 7 months due to being that nervous around people. I do a couple of cleaning jobs in the evenings once everyone has gone home. Why don’t you try that. Also I was looking into House keeper/Chambermaid jobs, as you are woking on your own alot then as well.

The only trouble with this is the more time you spend away from people, the harder it is going to be to conquer your fears, sometimes you need to try and tackle them and expose yourself, I know it’s easier said than done, as I can’t do it at the minute, but I think it all comes with confidence.

How to Quit Smoking Marijuana – Withdrawals & Detox

How to quit smoking marijuana can be a difficult thing for some people to undertake. The emotional side of things is a major part of the whole process but it is important to discuss the physical implication as well such as possible withdrawal symptoms from stopping smoking pot and how you can deal with them and reduce the severity with detoxification.

Firstly not everyone has a physical reaction when quitting marijuana. Some people stop and that is it, no change. Other may suffer from a range of side effects which are mild in comparison to the withdrawal effects of some other harder drugs but are never the less uncomfortable. Such problems include:

  • Insomnia
  • Wild and vivid dreams
  • Nausea
  • ‘Fuzzy’ feeling in the head
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Lethargy

Most of the time these things last no longer than a week or two as the residual THC cleans out of your system and your body becomes accustomed to a lack of marijuana smoking. However THC has a tendency to stay in the body for a long time after that in smaller amounts which often does not do that much but is still there. To speed up the recovery process there are a few things you can do to detoxify yourself.

Exercise – The benefits of regular exercise is immense as well as doing a few things to directly help your symptoms and attempt to quit pot. Firstly it produces a feel good chemical called endorphins which can often help you feel good and rewarded without smoking pot. IT also helps flush out THC quicker by burning fat cells that it hides in. Not to mention general fitness is desirable and helps build your immune system and a better state of mind, body image and importantly gives you a sense of achievement that is incredibly gratifying and helpful. This exercise does not need to be heavy like weight lifting if you do not want it to be. You choose light exercise like walking, jogging, yoga and aerobics.

Water and Green Tea – You may be sick of the color green when quitting pot but green tea is a good way to hydrate and give yourself other health benefits including antioxidants. The main goal however is to drink a lot of liquid which is essential in an all body detox which can flush out toxins and other things like THC from your system faster.

Can having anxiety increase your sugar level higher than what is usually normal for a non diabetic?

I have not been feeling right lately, kind of how i felt when I had gestational(pregnancy) diabetes but not as bad, earlier i had a bowl of honey nut cheerios with 2%milk, and 2 choc chip cookies, 1 hour 40 minutes later i take my sugar level and it is 151. this surprised me but for like 2 hours before this i took 2 mylantas and been having an anxiety attack,could this have raised it that much?Oh and yes i am getting tested again as soon as possible,Thank you for answering

It is normal that when a person’s anxiety level is increased (or in a fight or flight response mode) that your body will naturally raise blood sugar to allow for the extra energy your body is telling you it may need.

However, you mentioned that you had gestational diabetes. As I am sure you are aware, because you had gestational diabetes you are at an increased risk of developing Type II diabetes. Check your blood sugars more vigilantly throughout a day to give yourself a good idea of how your body is dealing with your carbohydrate/protein intake. I would repeat this test a few times a week. Bring the results to you physician and ask what s/he thinks of them (keep track of exactly what you are eating on those days as well, and a record of what you are feeling…stress, annxious, sick etc.
