alrighty,
soooo my dog a yorkie/poodle mix is like dealthy afraid of the dishwasher and the stove. WE have no idea why but everytime we put either of them on [which we have to almost once everyday] he like pants really heavy and shakes and like wants to be REALLY close to you like if you move your arm he will stick his nose in between you and your arm so that your like hugging him ! what can i do i feel so bad and hes really annoying when hes like this?
you have to Desensitize Your Dog to Loud Noises.
Create A Positive Association
Before the tremors set in, haul out the dog treats. Before your dog gets to the cowering point, hand out a treat for every second he does NOT try to run. If he stays in a “sit” reward him. Sometimes owners unwittingly reward the fear reaction, encouraging their dog to BE fearful.
Build Up To The Noise Gradually
Set up a tape recorder, and record the worst noises that cause the fear). Pick a day when you can put up with it, and playback the recordings, starting on a low volume setting, and get louder gradually. As the noise continues, your dog will experience a less intense reaction. I should emphasize that you increase the volume GRADUALLY.
Sometimes this process could take a while, but when your dog is able to sit calmly next to you when it’s stormy out, you’ll know you’ve won.
hope that helped!
My dog was deathly afraid of thunder, and the stove, and this really helped!

what is the difference between the treatment for anxiety and the treatment for depression?
what symptoms distinguish one ailment from the other?
A lot of the medications for anxiety and depression overlap because they are both caused by abnormalities of chemicals in the brain. As for distinguishing symptoms depression is more a mood disorder, the person who is unable to come out of a sad mood and is no longer interested in things that used to bring them pleasure. Anxiety on the other hand is more like someone who is on edge, has sweaty palms, a racing heart beat and is constantly worrying about things. As you can probably guess being anxious all the time can lead to depression and vice versa so a lot of people have mixed symptoms.
Depression and anxiety affect a significant number of children and adolescents. These disorders and their associated comorbidities cause severe impairment in individual and family functioning. Increasingly, treatment options are broadening and the Federal Drug Administration is encouraging pharmaceutical companies to do more studies on the safety and efficiency of medication in the treatment of ch…
